Hello and welcome to my web site! I'm glad you stopped by.
If you're here, you're probably looking for a guitarist. I'm in the Redwood City area. I'm available, and I'm looking for new opportunities. So if you're looking for a guitarist who'll give 110 percent, who will show up to every practice, clear-eyed, sober, ready to go, will never embarrass you, and ready to give it everything he's got, I'm your guy.
I specialize in Roots music. Blues, some Country, Rock and Roll, preferably in equal measure. Guys like Lee Roy Parnell (who taught me to play slide guitar), Delbert McClinton, Jimmy Hall, Malford Milligan, Stephen Bruton, Paul Thorn and Mike Farris really float my boat. I'm very instinctive about serving the song and I'm always willing to talk about what's needed on every song I play. Good ol' Roadhouse music, for lack of a better way to say it.
I also play acoustic, but I'm primarily an electric guitarist.
I produced an album for the band I was in and you can hear many samples of my playing at that band's MySpace page.
I am equipped for the studio and gigs. Teles for fretted, Strat for slide. Danelectro Baritone when I need one. Amps are a Tweed Champ, a Tweed Deluxe and a Tweed Super. I have a Pro Tools Digi-002 system with Focusrite and Presonus mic preamps. I generally record guitar with the SM57 but also can offer large-diaphragm condenser mics if desired.
You can also hear some examples of my playing by selecting a page from the navigation drop-downs above. I have references, in the Bay Area, Los Angeles and Nashville.
My primary influences include Lee Roy, Duane Allman, Bill Hinds, James Pennebaker, Rob McNelley, Bill Hullett, Vince Gill, Reggie Young and many others. Thanks again for stopping by. If you'd like to talk, please fill out the form on the Contact Page, and I'll get back to you ASAP.
